BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — The frozen corpse of the man who inspired Colorado's Frozen Dead Guy Days festival could be moving to Michigan.
Bredo Morstoel was cryogenically frozen after he died in 1989 in hopes he could one day be revived. His body is being stored in a Tuff Shed in Nederland, Colo., with regular deliveries of dry ice helping to keep the body frozen.
But Morstoel's grandson Trygve (TRIG'-vuh) Bauge (BOH'-guh) of Norway says the man delivering the dry ice has threatened to quit.
Bauge told the Daily Camera newspaper (http://bit.ly/QjvnSG) Tuesday that he has asked the Cryonics Institute in Michigan if they'll store the body when he can afford it. He estimates that might be in 2015.
The institute says it evaluates whether to accept bodies based on various criteria.
