To the editor:
On behalf of the Craig city council, we would like to acknowledge and thank those who are responsible for donating money and contributing towards the flagpole project at Alice Pleasant Park:
• Pam Foster
• Patt Mccaffrey
• Tom and Jessie Cramer
• The Craig Rotary Club
The following individuals that helped out that day were Dave DeRose from Masterworks Mechanical and Guy Bradshaw. Guy and his children donated both the POW flag and the American flag.
This has been a collaborative effort between the City of Craig Parks and Rec department, the Craig City Council, and VFW post 4265. These entities came together to organize and implement a plan to build and set a flagpole downtown that has and will have significant meaning now and for years to come.
The American flag represents may things to many people but, the one thing that we can all agree on is it represents our freedom, freedom that we owe to the many men and women who are serving or have served in any branch of the united states military and this is just another way to honor our veterans.
Thank you.

Question of the week
News this week showed snowpack in the Yampa River basin has reached 94 percent of median for the date. Do you think Moffat County is out of the woods as far as drought concerns?
