To the editor:

As many letters to the editor have slated:

  1. Dave has a successful business with many employees that he supervises daily.
  2. He is involved with the youth of Craig by sponsoring school projects and coaching city youth teams.
  3. He supports the Boys and Girls Club and Young Life - exemplary programs for the betterment of Craig's youth with positive values.
  4. He has been a Mayor for Craig, so he has experience with managing local government and the process of decision making.

Dave is there for all walks of life in Craig when the need is presented to him. But most of all, our community and county are in the beginnings of a new era.

We need continued support for all aspects of our coal industry, which has been extended past 2015 – the original life of Trapper Coal. Tri-State is progressive and staying ahead of the new government regulations for cleaner electrical production.

Hats off to our coal producers and Tri-State! We are fortunate our coal is some of the cleanest in the nation so we can justify keeping Tri-State coal operated.

The oil and gas development is reaching a new dimension, which will impact our county in many ways. I feel Dave is capable of making decisions to protect our community.

We need someone that will be able to analyze adverse conditions with his knowledge, personal connections statewide, and his willingness to learn as much as he can about programs and businesses for the benefit Moffat County. He listens to the comments of our community members and carefully considers the ramifications that will affect our county, and then will make an educated decision.

We need someone who will be able to carefully plan to move Moffat County forward in our new era. I believe your support for Dave will be a positive addition to Moffat County Commission.

Use your voice by electing Dave DeRose in November for Moffat County Commissioner.

Go Dave!
