DENVER (AP) — Denver-based Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. has joined a human rights group's Fair Food Program.

The program by the Coalition of Immokalee (ih-MAHK'-ah-lee) Workers aims to improve wages and working conditions for Florida farmworkers who pick tomatoes for restaurant chains.

Chipotle and the coalition said Thursday that the company had joined the group's Fair Food Program, days before coalition supporters had planned to protest at Chipotle's Cultivate festival in Denver on Saturday.

Chipotle spokesman Chris Arnold told The Denver Post (http://bit.ly/Ujvxgg) that though the company hadn't joined the Fair Food Program earlier, it has been in compliance because for three years it has purchased from growers who signed on to the program.
