Bears Ears Sportsman Club will be offering the .22 Bullseye Pistol League from 5 to 8 p.m. throughout June and July at its building on Moffat County Road 7.

The activity of bullseye shooting includes the conventional pistol style — one hand, unsupported — with a slow fire rate at targets from 50 yards or a sustained fire rate from 25 yards.

Those who prefer to shoot with two hands are welcome as well. John Jepkema, who has coached competitive shooting at various levels, will oversee the activity.

Parks & Recreation to teach water aerobics classes

Craig Parks & Recreation will offer two different types of water aerobics classes over the summer — shallow water and deep water.

Sessions begin June 4 and run through Aug. 9.

Shallow water classes, offered from noon to 1 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, focus on burning fat and calories, building muscle, improving circulation, reducing blood sugar levels and lowering blood pressure.

The aim of deep water classes, offered at the same times Tuesdays and Thursdays, are to help with joint and arthritis issues in the body with the aid of a flotation device. All classes are at the Craig Pool Complex, 605 Washington St.

The cost is $40 to register for either shallow or deep water or $70 for the pair.

A drop-in fee of $4 per session applies for those who don’t register for the full schedule.

For more information, call 826-2017.

Parks & Recreation to host British soccer camp

Craig Parks & Recreation will host a British soccer camp during the summer for children ages 3 to 16.

The camp is offered by Challenger Sports, an institution which sends international experts across the country to teach game skills and sportsmanship.

Running from July 9 to 13, the camp will be set up at Woodbury Sports Complex, 350 Mack Lane.

Introductory program levels include the $78 First Kicks class for 3-year-olds from 9 to 10 a.m. and Mini Soccer for 4- to 5-year-olds from 10:30 a.m. to noon for $93.

Ages 6 to 16 can participate in Half Day from 9 a.m. to noon for $115, as well as the additional afternoon session Golden Goal Camp from 1 to 3 p.m. for $43.

Registration is only available online at challengersports.com.

Today is the last chance to receive a free British Soccer jersey with registration.

All players receive a free ball and shirt with their entry fee.

Participants can register the day of the event but there is a $10 late fee for entries received less than 10 days before the camp begins.

For more information, call 826-2004.
