Craig Cleanup Days this weekend
Craig Cleanup Days are scheduled for today and Sunday.
Residents can drop off used tires and appliances from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the north end of Veterans Memorial Park, formerly known as Craig City Park.
Drop-offs will not be accepted from commercial tire or appliance makers.

Interstate Batteries will accept used automotive and commercial batteries today and Sunday and will make a $5 donation to Relay For Life for every battery received.
Batteries can be dropped off at Veterans Memorial Park or Interstate Batteries, 1705 W. Victory Way.
The business is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and is closed Sunday, but batteries can be left in a drop-off box at the shop.

Wild Horse Club meets today
The Sand Wash Basin Wild Horse Club will meet at 4 p.m. today at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave.
The group is a non-political entity and is open to anyone interested in the area’s wild horse herd.

Duffy Mountain cleanup Sunday
The Yampa Valley OHV Club and the Bureau of Land Management will host a cleanup day Sunday on Duffy Mountain.
The event is open to the public, and volunteers are welcome to help.
Participants are asked to meet at 9 a.m. at Murdoch’s Ranch & Home parking lot, 2355 W. Victory Way.
Moffat County Democrats meet Monday
The Moffat County Democrats will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40.
Topics include creating a committee for Jo Ann Baxter, a candidate for Colorado House District 57.
Church hosts musical group
New Creation Church, 520 Westridge Road, will host Shekinah Glory, a musical group, at 6 p.m. today, 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, and 7 p.m. Monday.
