Where is your hometown? “Right here. I was born here.”
What has kept you in Craig? “Family, my parents and my sister live here, too.”
Motto or outlook on life? “It always gets better.”
When did you first get started in your job? “It was in 2008. I was working in a veterinary clinic and really liked it, so I went to nursing school and switched to humans. (Laughs)”
Favorite family activity? “Painting pottery, we like to do that a lot. There’s a place in Steamboat, Pottery Wheel, where we do that. We like to just get together with the whole family and have big family dinners and things like that, too.”
Favorite part of life in Northwest Colorado? “Spring and summer. I like to do photography, and I love to go to Fish Creek Falls and Maroon Bells.”
Least favorite part? “The winter. I love softball and basketball and volleyball, but I’m not a big winter sports fan.”
Favorite meal from a local restaurant? “Prime rib. I liked the one they had at River Ridge, but it’s not here anymore, so now I like The OP. My whole family likes The OP."
Favorite color to see your kids wear? “Green and blue. Blue just makes their eyes pop out and green is the color of life.”
Movie or TV show you consider a guilty pleasure? “Probably ‘NCIS.’ I just like the whole crime thing and how it’s set in Washington, D.C.”
Proudest accomplishment? “Besides my girls, probably getting my RN license. I went to school two years for prerequisites and two for nursing.”
Most embarrassing moment? “I don’t really get embarrassed that much, but one time I wore the pants of my scrubs inside-out to work one day.”
Favorite part of motherhood? “I just love watching my kids grow. They’re fun to watch, and I love seeing the smiles on their faces. My oldest daughter, Joey, is 9 and my baby’s name is Jayce. She’s only about 10 weeks old.”
Favorite Mother’s Day memory? “Joey was actually born on Mother’s Day weekend, so that was awesome to be able to celebrate that.”
