Health care roundtable today

A health care roundtable takes place at 5:30 p.m. today at Hampton Inn and Suites in Craig, 377 Cedar Court.

The event is hosted by the Craig Chamber of Commerce and the Rocky Mountain Employers Health Alliance.

It is free and open to the public.

State Sen. Jean White and House District 57 Rep. Randy Baumgardner will be present at the event, which is designed to allow local employers to express how federal and state health care policies have affected their businesses.

Talent show auditions Saturday

Auditions for the Craig Concert Association’s annual talent show will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Moffat County High School auditorium, 900 Finley Lane.

Residents with a variety of acts, including singing and dancing, are welcome to participate.

Tryouts should be between three and five minutes.

A dress rehearsal for the talent show takes place at 1 p.m. April 21, followed by the show at 7 p.m. at the MCHS auditorium.

Benefit auction slated for Sunday

An auction to help defray medical bills for Jamie Brasfield, a relative of a Craig family, will take place at 10 a.m. Sunday at Rangely Elks Park.

Items being auctioned include guns, knives, sports memorabilia, furniture, tools and TVs, among others. Items can be viewed Saturday at Elks Park.

There will be a horseshoe tournament at noon Sunday for $20 per team. To sign up for the tournament, call 970-210-0772. There also will be a 50/50 drawing as well as food for sale.

Organizers are still accepting donated auction items.
