2 'acid bombs' detonate in Longmont; no injuries

LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) — Longmont police say two bottles containing acid-based chemicals exploded Saturday night but no injuries were reported.

The Longmont Times-Call reports (http://bit.ly/y9PyCF) firefighters called the devices "acid bombs." Police are investigating but no arrests have been reported.

The two explosions were reported 20 to 30 minutes apart. One was near the porch of a home in west Longmont and the other was underneath a vehicle in east Longmont, about 2½ miles from the first.
