Unofficial results: Grobe outpaces Danner

Unofficial results from today's Republican primary election have been released by Moffat County election officials.

According to those results, Chuck Grobe, a former Hayden mayor, has defeated incumbent Audrey Danner in the race for Moffat County Commission District 2.

Grobe earned 1,238 votes, or 63.2 percent.

Danner earned 719 votes, or 36.7 percent.

The other contested race on the ballot was between incumbent Jean White and Colorado House District 57 representative Randy Baumgardner for the Republican nomination for State Senate District 8.

Baumgardner has defeated White in Moffat, Routt, Jackson, Rio Blanco, Garfield, Grand and Summit counties.

According to the results, Baumgardner received 1,105 votes, or 56.4 percent, in Moffat County. White received 854 votes, or 43.5 percent.

Baumgardner also defeated White in Routt County, where he earned 962 votes, or 55.1 percent, to White's 784 votes, or 44.9 percent.

In Jackson County, Baumgardner received 286 votes, or 70 percent, to White's 120 votes, or 30 percent.

Garfield County reports that Baumgardner received 60.6 percent of the votes while White received 39.3 percent.

In Rio Blanco County, Baumgardner received 52.3 percent and White received 47.6 percent.

Grand County reports that Baumgardner has received 60.1 percent of the votes and White has received 39.8 percent.

In Summit County, Baumgardner received 58.3 percent and White received 41.6 percent.

In total, Baumgardner has received 6,355 votes and White has received 4,588 votes.

92 percent of precincts have reported at this time.
