Road work slated to begin today
A temporary closure is scheduled for First Street between Stock Drive and Preece Avenue beginning today and continuing through June 29. Traffic will be detoured around the closure.

Reading activity set for Tuesday
“Light Your Fire for Reading,” a children’s story time with local firefighters, takes place promptly at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the north end of Veterans Memorial Park.
The event is open to elementary school students, who are encouraged to bring the book bags they received through the Friends of Moffat County Education's 13-3 Book Drive.
Fire trucks will be on site for the event, which is sponsored by Craig Fire/Rescue and Sandrock Elementary School.
Children must be accompanied by parents or guardians.
Free Parkinson’s presentation in Steamboat
A free presentation about advanced treatment options for Parkinson’s disease and essential tremors will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Steamboat Springs Community Center, 1605 Lincoln Ave., in Steamboat Springs.
Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be provided.
Physicians will discuss treatment options, patient candidacy and new research about deep brain stimulation.
