BELLVUE, Colo. (AP) — A wildfire burning in northern Colorado has grown by about 5 square miles to 78 square miles.
The growth between Wednesday and Thursday is the lowest seen since the fire started over the weekend. That counted for good news at a fire that hasn't had much.
The fire is about 10 percent contained and hundreds of people remain evacuated. The fire is blamed for one woman's death and has destroyed over 100 structures.
More than 1,200 firefighters have been working around the clock. They're working to protect homes and are also trying to keep the blaze from spreading past a highway that runs along a canyon cut by the Cache La Poudre River.
