LIVERMORE (AP) — Firefighters are working to build more containment lines around a northern Colorado wildfire that has scorched more than 200 acres.

Crews also hope to start mopping up some areas of the blaze on Wednesday.

The Stuart Hole fire is 45 percent contained and hasn't grown lately despite strong winds. The residents of 13 homes that were evacuated have been allowed back home.

Lightning started the wildfire, which has damaged at least two outbuildings since it started Monday. It's about 40 miles northwest of Fort Collins in rocky terrain north of where a camp stove ignited a wildfire last month.

That fire continues to put out smoke but hasn't grown outside its containment lines.

Another fire near Pagosa Springs is still burning on nearly eight square miles.

I understand that there are newsworthy things, such as fires, that are happening all over the state, and country, but since this is our local paper, it would be nice to see equal coverage of things such as fires that are burning the one in our own back yard in Powder Wash. And since I'm talking about local news and information, why is it that when I bring up the on-line employment ads in the CDP, 98% of what I see are job ads for Steamboat? I realise our paper is printed in Steanboat, but I wasn't aware that Steamboat had become the center of the universe for Craig America.
