July is getting closer to the end for this year.
I heard someone remark, “If July is this hot, imagine how hot August will be.”
I think August will start off like July, and then just be August.
The seasons this year have been a mixture of what they usually are and what has been or what follows.
Surprises are what make life more tolerable in some instances, weather-wise especially.
My advice is have a jacket or sweater handy and water.
Happy birthday to Dorothy Osborne, Celestine Serrano and Mary Jo Brown (I’m adding myself to the list on a dare because my birthday is this month).
Speedy recovery/get well wishes to Ron Moran, Ruma Gomez, Dorothy Forshee and Dolores St. Louis.
The Independent Life Center meeting is at 1:30 p.m. today in the recreation room on the second floor at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. The AARP meeting is at 2 p.m. today in the dining room at Sunset Meadows I.
The McDonald’s senior breakfast is Wednesday, and the noon potluck is Friday at Sunset Meadows I. Come join us.
News for anyone of any age, birthdays, anniversaries, news of friends ill or in recovery is always welcome.
We are all part of the Craig neighborhood.
Our noon potluck Fridays can include anyone who wants to come and join, not just seniors from Sunset Meadows.
You might even see someone you haven’t seen in a while.
Pop in, and bring a friend.
For more, call me at 824-2139.
Thanks.
Mary Jo Brown
