Sports Briefs for July 20, 2012: Ladies take over YVGC during Silver Bullet
The Yampa Valley Golf Course hosted the 26th annual Ladies Silver Bullet Classic Tournament last Friday and Saturday.
65 women played the 36-hole tournament, divided into four flights.
Kim Eaton won the championship by nine strokes, shooting a 36-hole total of 143.
Sue Utzinger won the first flight by two strokes over Penny Sykes by shooting 169.
In the second flight, Vicki Riley posted the low score of 183, winning by seven strokes.
The third flight winner was Rebecca Ludlow, whose 94 on Saturday powered her to a total score of 198, goof for a seven-stroke victory.

MCHS volleyball camp accepting registration
Moffat County High School volleyball coach Sandy Camilletti will lead a volleyball camp at the high school for seventh- and eighth-grade girls interested in the sport.
The camp will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 24 through 26 and will focus on teaching campers fundamentals and individual skills.
Registration forms can be picked up at Mountain West Insurance, 100 E. Victory Way. The fee for the three-day camp is $20.
Today is the final day to register. Forms must be returned to Camilletti at Mountain West.

Mud volleyball tourney set for end of month
The annual Craig Chamber of Commerce Mud Splash mud volleyball tournament will take place Saturday, July 28 at Loudy-Simpson Park.
Teams can sign up by completing a registration form found at www.craig-chamber.com. The per-team fee is $150 to participate.
Teams must have at least six players, but can have any number above that to substitute during play.
The $150 fee includes six t-shirts. Additional shirts can be bought for $10 each.
The double-elimination tournament will guarantee teams at least two games.
