Craig residents looking for deals on new or used vehicles are in luck — the first Craig Motor Expo is scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
The event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Mall. Most cars will be displayed in the mall parking lot, though there will also be an indoor display.
Participating dealerships from Craig include Cook Chevrolet and Subaru, Victory Motors, Craig Ford and Craig Powersports.
“We talked to our local dealers and they were excited about it, to have an offsite promotional to sell cars, ATVs, motorcycles, anything motorized,” said Bonnie Stewart, advertising manager of the Craig Daily Press, which is hosting the event.
Local dealers said the event will feature great deals for perspective buyers.
“We’ll have a sampling of all our different car lines with some unbelievably low prices for the inaugural event,” said Scott Cook, Cook Chevrolet and Subaru general manager.
Also available at the expo will be vendors selling goods and services that go along with purchasing a car, Stewart said.
“We’ll have food out there and different vendors for (attendees) to visit for insurance and banking needs,” she said. “Pretty much anything you need for your vehicle will be available.”
Stewart said the promotional expo will have vehicles available for purchase on site, just as if car shoppers were visiting a dealership.
“We’re going to bring quite a few vehicles and have some special prices on them,” said Jerry Thompson, Craig Ford general manager. “There will be some deals that I think people are going to like.”
