Mardi Gras luncheon Saturday

The Moffat County Thunder Cheer team will host a Mardi Gras luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at The Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave.

The cost is $10 per ticket.

A silent auction will take place during the event and door prizes will be awarded. Proceeds benefit the cheer team.

Farmers Market meeting Thursday

A Farmers Market planning meeting will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave.

Participants are encouraged to bring ideas to help expand the event.

Seedling tree orders

The Colorado First Conservation District is taking orders for seedling trees.

The trees will arrive the first week of May and the average cost of each tree is less than $1.

A variety of trees and shrubs are available to create windbreaks and living snow fences and enhance wildlife.

Residents must own at least two acres of land to purchase trees. Trees are limited and residents are encouraged to order early.

Order forms are available at the Bureau of Land Management office or the USDA district office at 145 Commerce St. For more information, call 824-3476, extension 101.

Free movie at The Journey

The Journey at First Baptist, 1150 W. Ninth St., will host a screening of the film “Courageous” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Refreshments and study groups will follow the movie.

The event is free but donations will be accepted.

Fiesta fundraiser Saturday

A fiesta dinner will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion.

Tickets cost $30 for a family, $10 for adults and $5 for children.

All proceeds support Moffat County High School students traveling to Costa Rica in June.
