Where was God?
Where was God while all these school shootings where happening? A lot of parents had their little children killed and others had their children wounded in those terrible moments at school by those evil people. What a tragedy and what a terrible act of terrorism that is happening in our county: America.
Yes, we want God to protect our loved ones from all this evil. But we have to look back to the 1960s and ’70s, when the violence started to rise up in the schools across America. The school districts along with the government, faculty members and some teachers went on a campaign to remove God, prayers and the Ten Commandments from public schools throughout America. They no longer believed it was valuable or important for children and young adults to have God around to achieve a good education. So eventually, God was removed from our schools.
The truth of the matter: For thousands of years God's people have turned their backs on him to worship false gods, false teachings or idolatry and they didn’t believe in him. The people of those days didn't think to worship, to pray or believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They thought they could do just fine without God. So God sent prophet after prophet to warn his people of what was going to happen if they didn't turn back to the God of the Bible. God said time after time, “If my people will turn back from their wicked ways and repent and cry out to me, then I will hear their prayers and their cries, and I will restore their land, and I will answer their cries and heal my people and protect them from their enemies.”
So the question remains, when will Americans pray and cry out to God and invite him back to our schools, government and our homes again? We can choose to have God and his son, Jesus, back in our lives or we will continue to suffer the consequences.
The choice is ours.
