There are two weeks remaining to register for the 2013 Trailbusters skiing and snowboarding beginner courses.
Local youths ages 6 to 15 can sign up through Jan. 7 to learn how to ski or snowboard. Trailbusters will travel to Steamboat Springs for five Saturdays starting Jan. 19 (excluding Feb. 16). Participants will need to provide their own equipment, whether it is bringing along skis and snowboards or renting them.
The ski and snowboard lessons cost $250, with an additional $45 covering the five bus trips to Steamboat. A $31 lift ticket also must be purchased for each week.
Craig Parks and Recreation is now also accepting registration for membership to the Ski Club. The club is open to anyone and costs $10.
Membership in the Ski Club gets lift tickets to the Steamboat Ski Area for $55 on Saturdays throughout the season.

Next session of water aerobics courses set for winter
Craig residents looking to get a different style of exercise are in luck.
Water aerobics courses, which began Oct. 22 and run through Jan. 16, offer a good combination of exercise benefits, improving fitness and flexibility while also being easier on the joints than other forms of exercise.
Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. at Moffat County High School. The fee to drop-in for a class is $4.
While the current session is winding down, another session will begin Jan. 21. Classes will be held at the same days and times of the current session.
The coming session runs through March 27 and costs $50 to register. There remains an option to pay $4 to walk in to any class.
For more information, call 970-826-2017.
Pee-wee basketball leagues now open for K-2
Youth basketball leagues for boys and girls from kindergarten through second grade are now accepting registrations. The leagues start in February.
There is potential for six leagues, depending on the number of participants. Games will be played on weeknights. Boys leagues will play Mondays and Wednesdays while girls will play Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The league will focus on teaching players the basics: dribbling, passing, shooting and learning to play as part of a team.
Practices start Feb. 11. Anyone who registeres after Jan. 9 will be placed on a waitlist with no guarantee of being put on a team.
League fees are $30. For more information, call Parks and Rec at 970-826-2004.

No registration is required. There is a $2.50 fee to be collected at the door for each open gym session, or a punch pass can be purchased.
The program began Nov. 13 and runs through Feb. 14.
