To the editor:
This is a Thank You, a huge one, to the Yampa Valley Electric Association Caring Consumers program.
Caring Consumers recently donated $5,395.00 to Craig Lions for purchase of a digital camera with print output for the eye screen program.
This is to replace the worn Polaroid cameras which use film that is not available anymore .
The Craig Consumers donates to local organizations to implement or expand programs that support the community. It is funding by the Round-Up program, where electric consumers donate the amount rounded up to the next highest dollar from their monthly bill.
You can do this by calling YVEA in Steamboat Springs or 824-6593 in Craig to sign up.
Craig Lion's supports eye programs including glasses, exams and eye screenings of all children from 6 months of age to 6 years old to find potential eye problems at an age where they can be easily treated. The generous grant from Craig Consumers means Craig Lion's can continue this important work.
