5 minutes with James Miller, produce vendor at Landon’s Little Garden

James Miller, left, and his father, Jim Miller, stopped in Craig today with their produce truck, Landon’s Little Garden. Though the trip hadn’t turned a profit, Jim said he was enjoying spending time on the road with his son.

When did you start selling produce:

“I have just started however my father, Jim, started earlier this year”

What motivated you to do this:

To help raise some money for bills and to send my son to a school for the blind.

“We’re on the way to Texas. Work has slowed down in the oil fields. I work for A company called Adesco. It’s a pump company (like western pump) except we strictly run high pressure pumps.”

Impressions of Craig:

“I love the Craig area. My wife’s mom actually lived here for quite a while so we’ve come back and forth occasionally.”

Where has this trip taken you:

Vernal, Utah, Rangely and Craig. Then back to Parachute and Grand Junction.

Song or musical genre you never tire of:

“I’m a big country fan. I never get tired of country.”

Favorite movie:

“That’s a hard one. Movies have kind of slacked off lately.”

Pet peeve:

Wastefulness

Proudest accomplishment:

“My son, Landon”
