Where is your hometown? “I’m from Craig.”

What has kept you in town? “Work and family. My family owns a business, Ike & Son Transmission, that’s been here since the 50s. My husband’s going to be managing it, too.”

Motto or outlook on life? “Just stay positive, no matter what comes at you.”

When did you first get started in your job? “It was in February. I’m good at filing and working with taxes, and the job opportunity was open so I took it.”

Favorite part of your job? “My boss and the customers. They can be pretty entertaining. (Laughs) They all come in with different stories and they’re a lot of fun.”

Favorite part of life in Northwest Colorado? “The weather and the scenery. You can always go out and do something — four-wheeling, snow-machining, whatever. I like to go to Irish Canyon and Steamboat Lake and that whole area.”

Favorite meal from a local restaurant? “The pulled pork sandwich at Pankey’s BBQ. I love the barbecue taste and the way they make their food there.”

Movie or TV show you consider a guilty pleasure? “There’s too many to choose from, but one I’ve watched a lot is ‘Pandorum.’ It’s sci-fi about people going into space because Earth is no longer inhabitable and they get lost and wake up in the future. It’s got Ben Foster in it, so I had to watch it when it came out.”

Pet peeve? “Seeing somebody chewing with their mouth open.”

Song you could listen to 1,000 times and still enjoy it? “‘Stairway to Heaven’ by Led Zeppelin. I love the lyrics and I love that era of music. It’s the kind I could listen to all day.”

Non-traditional animal you’d like to keep as a pet? “A fruit bat. I’ve always loved bats and I think they’re cute, I don’t really know why. I love Batman, so maybe that’s it.”

Typical wardrobe on a day off from work? “T-shirt and jeans with flip-flops. Comfy.”

Color that suits your personality? “I like to bring out color in everything, so I’d say the whole rainbow.”

Proudest accomplishment? “Graduating high school, helping with my family’s business.”

Most embarrassing moment? “I have a recurring one. When I’m trying to do math in front of someone, I can’t seem to think straight so I look stupid. Just adding something up in front of someone, I panic and get embarrassed.”
