Local church hosting movie night

Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave., will present a screening of “Courageous,” a movie from the creators of “Fireproof,” at 7 p.m. today.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., and the movie will follow.

The event is free and open to anyone. For more information, call 824-5222.

CNCC auto department to offer $1 car washes

Colorado Northwestern Community College’s automotive department is offering $1 car washes from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the automotive shop at CNCC’s Craig campus, 2801 W. Ninth St.

Additional donations will also be accepted.

9Health Fair set for Saturday

The annual 9Health Fair is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at The Memorial Hospital, 750 Hospital Loop.

The event includes blood draws, breast cancer screenings, diabetes information and blood pressure screenings.

Basic blood chemistry screenings are $30, blood counts are $15, prostate screenings are $25 and colon-rectal kits are available for $20.

Local group to recognize Earth Day with highway clean

The Friends of Northwest Colorado, in recognition of Earth Day, will lead a clean up of Colorado Highway 318, west of Craig, on Sunday. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon.

Afternoon activities are optional.

Anyone from the public is invited to participate. Visitors are encouraged to bring: a sack lunch, work gloves, hat and sunscreen, hiking boots, and plenty of water.

Anyone interested should meet at the interpretive site/rest stop on the south side of Irish Canyon, or contact Sasha Nelson at 824-5241 or sasha@ourcolorado.org to arrange a car pool from Craig.
