John Husband: Fundraiser a success

To the editor:

The Northwest Colorado Chapter of Parrot Heads sends a warm tropical thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Art’n the Park’n Lot fundraiser a resounding success.

The weather Sept. 10 could not have been better, and we had a great turnout from the public to support the event.

The hula hoop and limbo contests, new events for this year, provided a humorous diversion for participants and spectators alike. The “Keets Korner” activities ensured kids had a great time as well.

We want to thank our local businesses and sponsors who donated goods and services that made it possible to put on this year’s event. Thanks to the Moffat County Fairgrounds crew for helping us with stage components for musical acts.

Thank you to the vendors who set up booths and everyone who donated items to our silent auction. And thank you to the musicians who provided a variety of musical acts throughout the day to help set the festive mood.

NCCPH uses funds raised at this annual event to support music in the schools, scholarships for deserving students, and various community, environmental, and river related projects.

We are proud to serve Craig and Moffat County and are very grateful for the support we receive from the community.

PHins up.

John Husband
