A magic show to benefit the Humane Society of Moffat County is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at Moffat County High School, 900 Finley Lane.

The show is indoors and will be held rain or shine.

Coupons for free admission for a child 13 and younger or for $1 off admission for an adult are available at the Craig Daily Press, 466 Yampa Ave., and other locations in Craig.

VNA to offer grief support group

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is offering the Facing the Mourning grief group from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays from today to Oct. 22 at the VNA, 745 Russell St.

Aging Well offers Tai Chi, Healthier Living

Aging Well, a program of the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association, is offering Tai Chi for Health with an emphasis on diabetes and Healthier Living, a workshop to help participants better manage health conditions or challenges.

Tai Chi runs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays from today to Nov. 1 at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. There is a $3 suggested donation per class.

Healthier Living runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays from Oct. 3 to Nov. 7 in the VNA’s downstairs meeting room, 745 Russell St. There is a $20 fee for materials.

Physician to offer arthritis seminar

Dr. Michael Sisk will host a community arthritis seminar at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the conference room at The Memorial Hospital, 750 Hospital Loop.

The seminar is free and will include information about treatment options, including total knee replacement.

Sisk’s practices in both Craig and Steamboat Springs and performs operations at TMH

The Craig Chamber of Commerce will host its Wake-up Breakfast from 6:47 to 7:47 a.m. Thursday at Hampton Inn & Suites, 377 Cedar Ct.

The event is hosted by the Fit Family Challenge of the Moffat Family Clinic.

MCHS announces Homecoming parade theme

Moffat County High School has announced the theme for Homecoming activities next month.

Oct. 3 to 8 is Homecoming Week with a theme of “Under the Sea.”

The Homecoming parade is scheduled for Oct. 7. Entry forms are available in the first-floor office at Moffat County High School and must be returned by Oct. 4. The cost is $25 for school floats and $30 for non-school floats.

Horizons offers free developmental screenings

Horizons Specialized Services, 439 Breeze St., is offering free developmental screenings for children from birth to age 3.

The screenings will address questions about when children should be walking and speaking as well as concerns about hearing and vision.
