Denver (AP) — President Barack Obama's visit to Colorado next week will be at a high school in Denver when the president will promote his jobs bill.
The spokesman for the Colorado Democratic Party confirms Friday that Obama will speak Tuesday afternoon at Abraham Lincoln High School in southwest Denver.
Spokesman Matt Inzeo says the president will talk up his $447 billion jobs proposal that is pending in Congress. Obama has been traveling the country talking up his plan, which would increase spending on infrastructure such as bridges and roads.
Obama is also visiting California and Washington state in the next week on a Western swing. The president was last in Denver in February of last year to raise money for Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet.
