To the editor:
I am writing to thank everyone for the cards, gifts, phone calls, visits and especially for all the prayers on my behalf during my recent surgery and recovery from lung cancer. I was truly amazed that so many would take time out of their busy schedules to pray for me.
I am also thankful to the National Jewish Hospital for their Miner’s Clinic, The Memorial Hospital for their radiology department and St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction for their Thoracic Surgery department. I am thankful also for Dr. Dennis Kinder, Dr. William Kelly, and Dr. Sara Pereia. All contributed in saving my life for which I am truly grateful.
I would like to urge all the miners and former miners from all types of mining to participate in the National Jewish Miner’s Clinic that comes to Craig every May.
This is a free clinic to all miners. My life was saved through early detection through this clinic.
