11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pamela Hurd, formerly of Craig, will host a book signing of, “Switch Witch,” at the Museum of Northwest Colorado, 590 Yampa Ave.

1:30 p.m. The Preserving the Last Frontier organization meets in the library on the second floor at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. Gina Robison of the Bureau of Land Management will give a program on the interpretive drive over Duffy Mountain. Call 824-6761.

5 p.m. The Browns Park Alumni Association hosts the third annual fundraising Soup Bowl Dinner at Browns Park School. The meal includes stew or chili and drinks for $5 per person. There’s also a bake sale, door prizes and a costume contest.

6:30 p.m. The Craig Chamber of Commerce’s ninth annual Crabfest is at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. Entertainment includes a comedian and a presentation by the Moffat County High School theater students, as well as live and silent auctions. Tickets are $50 per person. Call 824-5689 or visit 360 E. 7 to 10 p.m. American Legion Post 62 hosts a haunted house at Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. The cost is $6. Call 824-3511.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.

8 to 11 p.m. Colorado Northwestern Community College’s Student Government hosts the CNCC Halloween Dance in the west wing of the Craig campus, 2801 W. Ninth St. The cost is $4 per person or $6 per couple. Refreshments will be served. Call Desiree Brown at (970) 201-1013.    

9 p.m. Outtabounds hosts its annual Halloween party under the grandstands at the Moffat County Fairgrounds. The event includes a DJ and a costume contest and is BYOB. The cost is $7 per person, which will be donated to a local woman battling cancer.
