Auction to benefit local woman
A silent auction to benefit Cindy Rudell Smith is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Victory Motors of Craig, 2705 W. First St.
Smith, a Yampa Valley native who has been involved in banking for more than 25 years, is suffering from a medical condition that has her currently in respiratory and physical therapy.
Items in the auction include a stained glass Bronco head, framed limited edition prints, a cordless drill, a flooring package, a golf package and gift certificates.
Family and friends have also set up an account at Bank of the West under Cindy Smith Benefit.
Show to benefit Humane Society
A magic show to benefit the Humane Society of Moffat County is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at Moffat County High School, 900 Finley Lane.
The show is indoors and will be held rain or shine.
Coupons for free admission for a child 13 and younger or for $1 off admission for an adult are available at the Craig Daily Press, 466 Yampa Ave., and other locations in Craig.
Elkhead boat ramp to close Sunday
Elkhead Reservoir State Park will close the boat ramp for the season on Sunday.
After the boat ramp closure, only hand-launched watercraft will be able to access the lake. The entry and exit points are at Greenwood Cove and the northeast access area.
