Yampa River State Park will host boating safety review sessions and exams June 11 for anyone age 14 or older who wishes to operate motorboats or personal watercraft.
The class will begin at 10 a.m.
Anyone operating a motorboat or personal watercraft in Colorado must be at least age 16.
However, 14- and 15-year-olds can operate a motorboat if they successfully complete the safety course.
The cost of registration is $15, and students must bring a 1-inch-by-1-inch photo to be laminated to their operator card.
Pre-registration is required, and students must request a Boating Safely in Colorado home study manual when they register.

Wheat Ridge player named girls soccer POY
The Gatorade Company, in collaboration with ESPN RISE, announced Annie Kunz of Wheat Ridge High School as the 2010-11 Gatorade Colorado Girls Soccer Player of the Year on May 12.
Kunz was chosen for her high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the soccer field, according to a news release.
Kunz will now be a finalist for the Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year award to be announced later this month.
The Wheat Ridge senior scored 28 goals and had nine assists in the regular season.Her team finished with a 12-2-1 overall record.
Kunz has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Texas A&M in the fall.
Soccer tournament accepting registration
The Third Annual Emily Johnson Play It Forward 3-on-3 soccer tournament will take place June 4 and 5 at Gates Soccer Park, 6500 County Road 144, in Glenwood Springs.
Play will begin at 8 a.m. June 4 and finish in the afternoon June 5.
The tournament is to honor Emily Johnson, a Coal Ridge High School soccer player who died after an ATV accident in November 2008.
Players ages 8 to 18 years old and adults are encouraged to play. There will be multiple girls and boys divisions as well as a co-ed adult division.
Teams consist of six players. The cost of registration is $150 per team or $25 per player.
Each team is guaranteed to play at least three games.
The 3A and 4A Western Slope League all-conference soccer teams will play June 3, with the boys teams starting at 5 p.m. and girls teams at 7 p.m.
All proceeds will go into the Emily Johnson Play It Forward Fund for three scholarships offered to high school students.
