State Sen. Jean White will speak during the Bears Ears Tea Party Patriots’ monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave.
White will discuss state legislation currently under consideration and will answer questions from the public.
The organization’s July 7 meeting will feature a program on emergency preparedness — both personal and community.
Bears Ears Tea Party Patriots meetings are open to anyone interested.
Suicide prevention training set for July
Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide is slated to present Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training on July 7 and 8 at the Moffat County Public Safety Center, 800 W. First St.
Participants will learn to recognize suicide and depression warning signs, how to apply a model for intervention and how to link people with community resources.
The workshop lasts from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is free.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.
Donations are accepted.
One continuing education credit through Adams State College for the course is available for $55.

Gino’s Neighborhood Pizzeria & Grill, 572 Breeze St., will host a Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Business After Hours Mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Relay for Life to hosting fundraisers
Yampa Valley Relay for Life is hosting a series of fundraisers at Vallarta’s Mexican Restaurant in Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way.
Every Monday evening through July 11, a team involved in Relay for Life will receive 25 percent of the night’s sales.
Craig Book Club to meet Thursday
The Craig Book Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Lutheran Church of Grace, 657 Green St.
Members will select books and enjoy a salad luncheon.
