Briefs for May 26, 2011: Grand Olde West Days’ horse show postponed

The second annual Draft Horse Show & Jackpot Feed Team Race will not be part of this year’s Grand Olde West Days activities. The temporary cancellation is a precautionary measure against the spread of the disease EHV-1 among horses.

The show, originally scheduled for 9 a.m. Sunday at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Arena, will be tentatively moved to Aug. 7, coordinator Mardi Anson said.

“We’re hoping there won’t be any more problems with the virus then,” Anson said.

For more information, call Anson at 824-0382.
