9 to 11 a.m. Playgroup for toddler/preschool-age children takes place at the Early Childhood Development Preschool at the Moffat County School District administrative building, 775 Yampa Ave. Call Carissa at 826-9742.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Yampa Valley Hens and Chicks, the local chapter of the Farmgirl Sisterhood, will meet at the Moffat County extension office, 539 Barclay St. A talk on show chickens, presented by youth members of the group, will follow the meeting at Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply. 3 p.m. The Moffat County High School boys varsity swimming team competes against Montrose High School at MCHS, 900 Finley Lane.

5 p.m. The Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way, hosts bingo. Doors open at 5 p.m. Games begin at 6:15 p.m. Call Frank at 824-6131 or 620-0874.

5:30 p.m. The Yampa Valley Golf Course, 2179 Colo. Highway 394, and the Tin Cup Grill are hosting the Fiesta Time couples golf tournament. Registration is $46 per couple, which includes nine holes of golf and a Mexican dinner. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite fiesta attire, with a prize for the best dressed. 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Narcotics Anonymous meets at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. Call Megan at 756-4554.

7 p.m. Fellowship Group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 657 Green St. Call 326-6646.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at 1150 W. Ninth St. The group is designed to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups. Childcare is provided, and late-comers are welcome. Call 824-5926.

Saturday, May 7

9 a.m. The Craig Bad Dogs youth wrestling program is hosting a tournament at Moffat County High School, 900 Finley Lane. About 60 Craig wrestlers will compete with over 400 wrestlers total. The cost of admission is $3 per person.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Spring Mother’s Day Bazaar is at Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. The fair will include more than 70 vendors with jewelry, crafts, potted flowers, candles and more. Call 824-7011.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.
