A cancer support group is scheduled to meet from 6 to 7 p.m. today at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. Meetings take place on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the church.

Relay for Life hosting Hayden rally

The Yampa Valley Relay for Life Rally is scheduled to be in Hayden at 6 p.m. today at Hayden High School, 495 W. Jefferson.

Everyone is invited to attend the event, which includes booths, information about becoming involved with the area’s Relay for Life, games, refreshments and a tribute to local cancer survivors.

Car care clinic scheduled for March 12

A free car care clinic for single mothers, seniors, and disabled residents from 8 a.m. to noon March 12 at Cook Chevrolet, 1776 W. Victory Way, in Craig.

Car care clinic staffers will check all fluids and top them off if, needed; test anti-freeze; air up tires and check treads; and check lights, battery connections, horns, wipers, and belts.

Staffers can also arrange for discounted repairs and oil changes, if possible. The clinic is by appointment only, and is a project by a small group from The Journey at First Baptist.

DAR seeking help with Lay school history

The Augusta Wallihan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is seeking help from community members in compiling the history of the Lay school. The chapter also has numerous photographs taken in the 1950s at the school, and needs help identifying students shown.

St. Michael Church plans Mardi Gras party

St. Michael Catholic Church has scheduled its annual Mardi Gras Party and Dinner for Friday at the church, 678 School St.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for happy hour, and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.

A disc jockey will provide entertainment, and there will be prizes for the best costumes.

Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger at KS Kreations, 523 Yampa Ave., or the church.

Tickets at the door are $15 for adults or $6 for children 12 and younger.
