The Craig Daily Press is seeking people to participate on its next Editorial Board, which begins July 5.
Editorial Board members meet from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays to discuss the newspaper’s opinion pieces for that week’s Wednesday and Saturday editions. The first meeting will be held on July 5 due to the Independence Day holiday.
Editorial Board terms last three months.

Fourth of July events planned
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265 is planning a Fourth of July parade and community barbecue to celebrate Independence Day.
The parade begins at noon July 4 at the VFW, 419 E. Victory Way. The parade will travel west on Victory Way, north on Yampa Avenue, and east on Sixth Street to Craig City Park.
The theme is red, white and blue, and parade registration is free.
Line-up begins at 11 a.m.
There will be prizes for children who ride decorated bicycles in the parade.
A free community barbecue will follow the parade at the south end of City Park, 605 Washington St. There will be activities for children.

Church set to host kids event today
Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 3107 W. First St., will host a children’s event at 6 p.m. today.
The event includes a puppet show, clowns, a magic act, games, snacks, prizes, face painting and more.
The event is free and is open to children of all ages.

Libraries to close for Fourth of July
All branches of the Moffat County Libraries will be closed July 2 through July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
