9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Whittle the Wood Rendezvous carving competition begins at Craig City Park, 605 Washington St.

9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Aging Well Program sponsors Wellness Wednesdays for adults ages 50 and older at American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Options include art, writing and exercise classes. Lunch is served at each week’s lunchtime presentation. Call 871-7676.

6:30 p.m. The Rio Blanco Ranger District hosts a meeting to discuss the new Forest Service Travel Management Plan at Kilowatt Korner, 233 Sixth St., Meeker. Call 878-5297.

Thursday, June 16

9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Whittle the Wood Rendezvous carving competition continues at Craig City Park, 605 Washington St.

10 a.m. The Moffat County Fairgrounds, 221 W. Victory Way, hosts the first performance of the Colorado State High School Rodeo finals. Admission is $20 for 11 and older, which includes all performances. Those 10 and younger and senior citizens are free.

11 a.m. Story-time hosted by the Moffat County Libraries takes place at the Moffat County Fairgrounds covered picnic area. Families can enjoy guest speakers, skits, activities and songs. Call 824-5116.

4 to 6 p.m. A free hot lunch is served at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. The church is looking for volunteers to help set up and cook and drivers to help deliver meals. Call 826-2895.
