The 24th annual Moffat County Sheriff’s Office Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament scheduled for Saturday at Yampa Valley Golf Course has been postponed due to flooding on the course.
The tournament has been rescheduled for 7:30 a.m. Sept. 3.
The tournament will be a four-person scramble. The entry fee is $40 per person plus green fees for non-members.
Two mulligans per player may be purchased before the start of the tournament as well.
First-, second- and third-place teams in both net and gross divisions will receive pro shop credits. Prizes will also be rewarded for closest to the pin and straightest drives.
All skill levels are welcome.
Proceeds benefit Moffat County High School graduates.

3-day junior golf clinic begins June 20
Yampa Valley Golf Course is hosting a junior golf clinic June 20 through 22.
The clinic will be split into three time segments — 8 to 9 a.m., 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. — based on the number of players who register.
Golfers of any skill level from ages 5 to 17 are encouraged to participate.
Registration is $30, which includes all three days.

Horseback riding, fishing trip slated
Craig Parks and Recreation is teaming up with Sable Mountain Outfitters, out of Meeker, for a horseback riding and fishing trip June 21.
The trip will start with a guided horseback riding trip through the mountain trails to Marvine Creek, where participants will then have the rest of the day to fish.
Participants must be at least age 8 to go on the trip. Registration is $80 per person.
The deadline to register is June 15.
