The staff of Mountain View Furniture may cut wood, but the business doesn’t cut corners when shaping creations, and the same applies to its latest venture.

Mountain View is now offering custom kitchen cabinets as part of its line of artisan-crafted furniture, all designed and built within the store’s workshop.

Craftsman Laverne Torkelson said customers can expect to find well-built products when they come to Mountain View

“We don’t use any particle board or anything cheap like that,” he said. “It’s all solid wooden plywood.”

Torkelson said people in the shop can design and build “pretty much anything” requested by customers.

“We’ve had people bring in pictures of styles from the internet and we can make them in different sizes and patterns,” he said.

Additionally, the business features other items such as chairs, tables and bedroom and kitchen furnishings.

Mountain View Furniture is located at 34309 N. Hwy 13 and the staff can be reached at 824-6066.

Daily Press featuring new color advertisements

For people hoping to add a little pizzazz to their efforts in selling, the Craig Daily Press has the answer.

The Daily Press now offers the option for classified advertisers to include color pictures for entries within the auto and real estate sections.

The new style was first featured in the June 1 issue of the Press.

“I think it improves the look of the classifieds,” said Bonnie Stewart, advertising consultant. “People are so visual that it really helps to see a house or an auto in color. We’ve had that availability, but now it’s what they get for the cost of their ad so they can email them to us or upload them online.”

There is no price difference for a black-and-white ad compared to a color one, Stewart said. The option to include a photo is also standard.

Outside of the auto and real estate sections, ads in all sections are also available in screens in vibrant colors like red, yellow and green to add some eye appeal.
