The Hayden Lions Club is hosting a community potluck and barn dance from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Hayden Granary/Yampa Valley Feeds, 198 E. Lincoln Ave., Hayden.
The John Wayne Band will play country tunes beginning at 7 p.m.
All ages are welcome to the family-friendly event.
Admission is $10 and benefits the Hayden Lions Club.
Mud Splash event moved to August
The Craig Chamber of Commerce hosts Mud Splash volleyball at 11 a.m. Aug. 13 at Loudy-Simpson Park. The event was originally scheduled for Saturday.
The double-elimination tournament costs $200 per team, which includes six commemorative T-shirts.
The tournament is limited to 16 teams and the deadline to enter is Aug. 5.

Preserving the Last Frontier will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the library on the second floor at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

CNCC hosts trip to San Antonio
Colorado Northwestern Community College’s Craig campus is hosting a community trip to San Antonio from Oct. 6 to 10.
The trip includes visits to the Alamo, Fredericksburg, Austin, LBJ Ranch, Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and Luckenbach.
The trip costs $1,600, and a $400 deposit is due now.
The cost includes airfare, transportation, lodging, eight meals and attractions admissions.
