To the editor:
The Fuller Greater Blessings program and the Moffat County Center for Housing deserve a big thank you for sponsoring the youth group who cycled to Craig and spent a day working on houses.
My place was one of six lucky places for work. Breakfast wasn’t quite finished when the crew of six young people arrived at my front door for their instructions for their day’s work. Eight storm windows removed, old chipped paint, and caulking renewed.
From morning to supper they worked removing storm windows, scraping old chipped paint, removing worn insulation strips and old caulking, etc. Then, they painted and caulked and put in new foam rubber weather strips.
Finally, the storm windows were replaced. Not only were the windows painted and up, but the old chipped paint on the west wall was replaced with a new coating. They did a fine job of picking up and cleaning after their work.
Thank you to a well deserved crew. I hope they enjoyed the barbecue at the American Legion. The next morning they were leaving to bicycle over Rabbit Ears to Kremmling for another day of work.
