St. Michael’s Kitchen, 678 School St., is hosting its annual fundraising dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today.

The dinner, which is open to anyone and costs $10, will include “Southern cooking at its finest.”

Governor orders flags lowered

In accordance with the Presidential Proclamation issued by Barack Obama, Gov. Bill Ritter has ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on all state buildings in honor of the victims of the shooting that occurred Saturday in Tucson, Ariz.

Flags are to remain lowered until sunset Friday.

Community forum set for Thursday

Local residents will have an opportunity to meet Russell George, the finalist to replace John Boyd as president of Colorado Northwestern Community College, on Thursday.

The forum is meant to give community members a chance to “hear George’s ideas for the future of the college and … to ask questions about those ideas and share their own,” according to a news release from the Colorado Community College System

The forum is scheduled for 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Hampton Inn and Suites Conference Room, 377 Cedar Court.

‘The Invisible Wall’ next up for club

The Craig Book Club is scheduled to meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 657 Green St.

Club member Susan Domer will review Harry Bernstein’s “The Invisible Wall.” Jan Rinker will host. For more information, call 824-4136.

Next Chamber mixer Thursday

The next Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Business After-Hours Mixer is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Colorado CPA, 555 Breeze St.
