Briefs: Accountability meetings next week

Moffat County School District’s School Accountability Committee meetings are scheduled for this week.

Moffat County High School’s SAC will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. today in the school’s library, 900 Finley Lane.

Craig Middle School’s SAC will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today in the school’s library, 915 Yampa Ave.

Sandrock Elementary School’s SAC will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the school’s library, 201 E. Ninth St.

Ridgeview Elementary School’s SAC will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 600 Westridge Road.

East Elementary School’s SAC will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 600 Texas Ave.

Sunset Elementary School’s SAC will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 800 W. Seventh St.

All parents of students at each school are welcome to attend. For more information, call the individual school.

Farewell gathering today for Sue Birch

An open house will take place today at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association to say goodbye to Sue Birch.

Birch has served as VNA chief executive officer since 1994.

She recently accepted a position as executive director for Colorado’s Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.

The open house is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. at the VNA’s Craig office, 745 Russell St. It is open to the public.

‘The Invisible Wall’ next for Book Club

The Craig Book Club is scheduled to meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 657 Green St.

Club member Susan Domer will review Harry Bernstein’s “The Invisible Wall.”
