A fundraiser to benefit Jeff Goffe, who has stage 4 melanoma, is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Mercury Café, 2199 California St., in Denver.

Proceeds will help Goffe, who lives in Craig and works for Craig Ford, cover medical costs and take time off work to spend time with his grandchildren.

The event will include live music and a silent auction. Those who cannot attend but still want to help can send donations to Goffe at 333 Birch St., Craig, CO 81625.

Library hosting Monday meeting

All branches of the Moffat County Libraries will be closed Saturday through Monday in observance of President’s Day, according to a news release from the library.

All branches will reopen Tuesday.

However, the Craig branch, 570 Green St., will host the monthly library board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday. The meeting is open to the public.

Vallarta’s hosting benefit for Hatcher

Vallarta’s Mexican Restaurant is hosting a fundraiser for Landon Hatcher on Monday.

Hatcher is a 10-month-old from Craig who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. His family does not have health insurance.

Vallarta’s is donating 25 percent of profits from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday to the family.

Vallarta’s is located in Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way.

County’s 100 years topic of meeting

The Preserving the Last Frontier organization is hosting its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in the second-floor conference room at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

T. Wright Dickinson, Neal McCandless, Dean Visintainer and Tom Mathers will speak about the highlights of Moffat County’s first 100 years.

The meeting is open to the public.
