Briefs for Feb. 5, 2011: Group presents ‘Pan’ adaptation

Class Act Productions, a theater group in Hayden of students in grades 3 to 12, presents “Peter Pan and Wendy,” a comedic adventure adapted by Doug Rand.

The youths will perform the play at 3 p.m. today at the Hayden High School auditorium, 495 W. Jefferson Ave., Hayden.

The cost is $3 for children ages 11 and younger and $7 for those ages 12 and older.

Beef weigh-in set for Sunday

The Moffat County 4-H/FFA market beef mandatory weigh-in and tagging is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Moffat County Fairgrounds.

In order to show or sell a market beef animal at the 2011 Moffat County Fair, participants must have animals tagged and weighed-in on this date.

American Legion hosting bingo

American Legion Post 62 is hosting bingo today at the Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way.

The doors open at 5 p.m. and games start at 6:15 p.m. Anyone is welcome.

Craig library branch plans Culture Night

The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries will be hosting Culture Night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. the first Monday of every month, the library announced in a news release.

The next Culture Night is scheduled for Monday at the library, 570 Green St., and will feature harpist Charleah Firestone.

Local residents are encouraged to bring their families for the hour of entertainment provided by local artists.
