To the editor:
I was spending time in the Meeker area last summer, and as a courtesy, received your newspaper.
In the issue I received was a letter to the editor about the mosque in New York to be built near the 9/11 crash site.
The woman who wrote that felt that it was an attempt to stop it because Muslims were involved.
It seemed to me that it was the fact the site was so near the 9/11 site that people objected.
Since then, I obtained a book by Andrew McCarthy titled “The Grand Jihad.”
McCarthy is a former federal prosecutor who convicted the Blind Sheikh and some other jihadist who did the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He has done very extensive research and the book reveals the wide-spread activities of Muslim organizations and its members in the U.S.
Their goal is to eventually establish their religious law in the U.S. The government officials who should be making people aware of their designs and opposing them are too politically correct to do so.
Surely the library or the bookstore on Yampa could get you a copy.
