VNA: The right thing to do

To the editor:

Immunizations are one of the easiest ways that we can protect ourselves, our families and our communities from deadly diseases.

The vaccines that are offered today prevent the deaths of an estimated 42,000 children each year in the United States alone. Yet, some preventable diseases — whooping cough, for example — have been making a comeback because some children are not vaccinated and also because some adults have not gotten their Tdap booster.

Increasingly, parents request to delay or decline vaccination of their children. This may be a result of celebrities claiming vaccines harmed their children, of poor science and alternative vaccine schedules being promoted in books and by special advocacy groups, and most assuredly it is a result of the increased number of vaccines and injections now recommended for infants and children in recent years.

The health care providers in Routt and Moffat Counties want to affirm our position on the recommended vaccines in the U.S.:

• We firmly believe in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness and to save lives.

• We firmly believe in the safety of vaccines.

• We firmly believe that all children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

• We firmly believe, based on all available literature, evidence and current studies, that vaccines do not cause autism or other developmental disabilities.

• We firmly believe that thimerosal, a preservative that has been in vaccines for decades and remains in a few vaccines (some multidose vials), does not cause autism or other developmental disabilities.

• We firmly believe that vaccinating children and young adults may be the single most important health-promoting intervention we perform as health care providers.

The recommended vaccines and the recommended U.S. schedule are the results of years of scientific study and data gathered on millions of children by thousands of our brightest scientists and physicians.

Delaying or refusing vaccination of children may put your child and other children at risk for serious illness, even death.

Talk to your health care provider to learn which immunizations you need to protect yourself and your children.

I'm not a Doctor but I am a chemist with over 27 years of experience. I don't just firmly believe but I know for a fact that:

1) Thimerosal (50% mercury) is by far the most toxic substance we have in the lab.

2) Mercury is added to multi-dose vaccine vials at a level 250 times higher than what the EPA considers to be hazardous waste.

3) Thimerosal is hundreds of times more toxic to living tissue (brain cells) than the bacteria in vaccine vials it is supposed to kill.

4) Mercury is especially dmangerous to newborns and infants.

5) Injecting this material provides rapid access to the bloodstream thus detouring all protective de-tox mechanisms.

I'm not a doctor nor a chemist, but as a human subject with over 43 years of experience, I don't just firmly believe but I know for a fact that:

1) Smallpox is one of the deadliest diseases known to man, killing as many as 400,000 Europeans per year in the 18th century.

2) Whooping cough is fatal in one in 100 infants under two months.

3) Polio has crippled millions.

4) Despite all of the perceived dangers of vaccines, neither myself, my spouse, nor our children have ever had to fear the above diseases and are, oddly enough, healthy as can be.

On the surface, I can't say I directly dispute your facts, but why aren't people dropping dead left and right? Many of the diseases vaccines prevent sure caused that to happen.

You fella's can get yourself injected with anything you want to. I've got no probelm with that. You're adults and can make your own decision. My problem is when they force families, against their will, to be injected with bolus doses of mercury, aluminum, DNA from aborted fetal tissue, etc. With the volumes of data showing evidence of harm, they have to be doing this intentionally just to create lifetime chronically ill pateints.

Please provide us with information on forced vaccinations where they are nabbing people, holding them down and injecting them, I would be very interested in seeing that. That is what you mean by "forcing" and "against their will" right? Vaccinations are voluntary, you don't have to get them and I have never heard of people being forced against their will in getting them. Like cag81625, I, my daughter, my friends, family etc., have all been vaccinated with no ill effects. Just like anything else that causes disease or cancer, some are more susceptible than others and one person over the other may be more sensitive to the ingredients. The diseases that vaccinations have helped control or eliminate far outweigh the risk involved in getting them, smallpox was virtually eliminated until people who believe as you do stopped getting it...and now it's back. If it gets to epidemic levels, it will kill more people than those who died because of the vaccination. 1 in 10,000 healthy people die from administration of anesthesia for surgery, shall we eliminate that too and revert back to biting the bullet with a shot of whiskey? There is a risk involved stepping outside your front door everyday and the assumptions regarding vaccinations are along the same lines as the chemtrail conspiracy.
