Introducing Dear Moffat County community photo project

Special thanks

Special thanks to the Museum of Northwest Colorado for help with the Dear Moffat County project.

The Craig Daily Press has launched its community photo project, Dear Moffat County, and is seeking community entries to the project.

The project is a series of images of old photos of Craig and Moffat County landmarks and people held in the current-day surroundings. The project is based off a popular website, www.dearphotograph.com.

The Daily Press intends to photograph several images and include one in its print edition each week. Community members are invited to submit photos — whether they be of a historical or sentimental nature — to the project for possible inclusion online and in print.

To participate, find an old photo, return to the location it was taken and do your best to line the photo up in its environment, then take a photo.

For more information or to get answers to questions, call news editor Michelle Balleck at 875-1790 or email her atmballeck@craigdailypress.com.
