10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Craig Police Department and Colorado State Patrol host National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at the Centennial Mall parking lot, 1111 W. Victory Way. The agencies will be collecting unused, unwanted or expired prescription drugs, no questioned asked.
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The OP Bar and Grill, 534 E. Victory Way, hosts a benefit auction for Landon Hatcher, a Craig baby, who was hospitalized in June with a three-inch brain tumor.
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Centennial Mall and Vallarta’s Mexican Restaurant, 1111 W. Victory Way, hosts Cinco de Mayo. The event includes Chihuahua races, performances by the Rifle Folkloric Dance Group, Mexican food and live music. Prizes are available for best traditional Mexican clothing for children under age 12. 1:30 p.m. The Preserving the Last Frontier organization hosts its monthly meeting in the library at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. The program is to be the Dickinson/Sparks family history. The meeting is open to the public. Call 824-6761.
4 p.m. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation hosts its 25th annual banquet at the Holiday Inn of Craig, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13. Tickets to the fundraiser for wildlife habitat projects cost $35 for lifetime members and can range up to $370 for a couple interested in a sponsor membership with the foundation. 6:15 p.m. American Legion Post 62 hosts bingo at the Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way. The progressive jackpot is worth more than $1,200. Doors open at 5 p.m. Anyone is welcome.
