One time while I was in the hospital, the quiet was broken by the sound of laughter. It brought a smile to my face.
As I lay there, I thought, “Thank you, Lord, for bringing a ray of sunshine into a place of uncertainty, pain, and some loneliness.”
There is hope in laughter. It is a sign of belonging and love.
Make someone smile or laugh and enjoy the knowledge that you made someone feel better, if only for a little while. In doing so, you will feel better, too.
