Moe: My sincerest thanks

To the editor:

I would like to thank everyone for all the support and encouragement extended to me before, during and after the Aug. 10 Republican primary election.

It was an honor and a privilege to run for the office of Moffat County Commissioner in District 3.

During my campaign, my wife Kerry and I were able to tour our beautiful and vast county, walk virtually every street in Craig, and make many new friends and acquaintances, plus hear the concerns and desires of our county residents.

I also wish to thank all of the dedicated people in Elaine Sullivan’s clerk and recorder’s office, especially elections clerk Stephanie Beckett.

I have never run for any kind of political office before and now have a new appreciation for all the hard work, skill and dedication that they provide to all Moffat County residents.

They all make the election process as simple as possible for us. They help ensure our ability to exercise one of our greatest freedoms — the right to a secret and personal vote. I also wish to extend my thanks to the election judges, as well as the resolution judges and the canvas board.

I apologize for the tardiness of my thank you to this county, but after the Aug. 10 primary, my wife and I were dealing with her mother’s illness and subsequent death.

We truly appreciate and love this county, and thank you for your continuing support.

Frank Moe
